Chief Ugochukwu Okeke, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BOT), has advised fellow party members to show restraint in their political ambitions and observe a period of mourning for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah before engaging in any political activities.

He said this in the light of quick resumption of intense political activities by some members of the party shortly after Senator Ubah’s death.

In an article by Chief Ugochukwu Okeke, he expressed his view that it would be inappropriate for political figures to immediately jump back into political actions to replace the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah so soon after his demise.

He elaborated on how Senator Ifeanyi Ubah had provided strong and fearless representation for the Igbo people, stressing the need to show respect for such a figure following his passing.

“His death at a very young age serves as a lesson about the ephemerality of life and power.

“The passing of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah represents a profound loss not only to the people of Anambra but also to the Igbo community at large. I suggest that we take this time to properly mourn him.
