A senior Iranian security official has confirmed that Iran has stopped firing missiles at Israel following the implementation of a ceasefire agreement.

Ceasefire agreement; Accord de cessez-le-feu entre les parties belligérantes.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the official made this disclosure during an interview with CNN’s Fred Pleitgen in Tehran, stating that “no missiles have been fired at the enemy so far” after 7:30 a.m. local time, which corresponds to 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET).

This confirmation matches the ceasefire timeline announced earlier by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who had posted on social media that the truce would begin approximately six hours after his initial message.

His statement placed the effective time of the ceasefire at around 12:00 a.m. ET.

The Iranian official also issued a strong warning to Israel, emphasizing that Iran would not hesitate to retaliate if provoked.

He stated, “If Israel makes a mistake, all occupied territories will be attacked, just like an hour before the war stopped.”

This comment highlights Iran’s readiness to resume hostilities if the ceasefire terms are breached by the Israeli side.

The ceasefire marks a significant pause in hostilities after days of heightened tension and direct confrontations between Iran and Israel.

It offers a temporary window for diplomacy and de-escalation, though both nations remain on high alert.

Observers around the world are closely monitoring the situation to see if the ceasefire will hold or if further military actions will reignite the conflict.

While the announcement brings a measure of relief, the underlying political and territorial disputes between the two countries remain unresolved.

As the situation continues to develop, regional stability hangs in the balance, and international stakeholders are urging restraint on both sides to prevent a return to violence.
