SGF Babachir Lawal: Buhari Shames Aide, Lauretta Onochie

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, slammed an undiluted shame and disgrace to his Special Assistant on new Media, Ms Lauretta Onochie.
Ms Onochie, it could be recalled, had been very vocal in the defence of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation [SGF], Mr David Babachir Lawal.
She even went as far as exonerating him of all wrongdoings as captured in the following tweet:
Not done with that, she fabricated documents to show that the documents were falsified and that Mr Lawal was not longer a party to the grass-cutting company.
See below:
However, in a show that rather shamed and disgraced his New Media aide, President Buhari, not only indicted the former SGF but sacked him.
Announcing news of the sack yesterday, Elombah.com reported that Buhari has sacked the suspended SGF as well as the Director General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.
In a State House press release issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, Buhari studied the report of the panel headed by the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.
The report investigated corruption allegations against suspended SGF Babachir Lawal, and NIA Director General, Ambassador Ayo Oke.
Consequently, the President accepted the recommendation of the panel to terminate the appointment of Mr Lawal.
He has since appointed Mr Boss Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Interestingly, Ms Lauretta Onochie has blankly failed, or refused, or both, to comment about the indictment and sack of Mr Lawal.
She was only quick to switch loyalty to the new SGF, Mr Boss Mustapha, even publishing his biography both on Facebook and Twitter for anyone who cares to read.
Reacting to the show of shame by Lauretta Onochie, Adeola Mary Slessor, on her Twitter handle, @Adeola0503, wrote:
“Lucky you .@Laurestar I am not the President, I would have sacked you today for that first picture and for dry cleaning Babachir!”
