Shakeup: Confusion As NNPC Debunks List, Releases Another Of 55 Staff

There is palpable confusion as the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC] has released another list purportedly containing names of 55 appointees following the recent shake-up authorised by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Two previous lists had hit the stands, each claiming to contain the names and offices of the said beneficiaries.

The first list contained fifteen names and excluded the South East Zone from any appointment whatsoever. 

It, however, shows that 10 appointees were from the three Northern zones, with three and two from South West and South South respectively.

The second list claims though that the shake-up affected 65 persons but was revealed to be fake and antiquated as it contained name of Maikanti Baru, who is not the current General Managing Director, as the Director of NAPIMS. 

The list also contained names of officials who are already retired as beneficiaries of the shake-up.

The most recent list, which was obtained by Elombah.com, holds the names of 55 persons as those affected by the recent shake-up.

The list tagged “Table 2: List of Staff for Deployments” has 33 persons from the three northern geopolitical zones, with 22 from their southern counterparts.
