Ghanaian music star Shatta Wale has credited his home country as the foundation of his wealth and success, stating that everything he has achieved financially is rooted in Ghana.
Speaking about his journey in the music industry, the outspoken artiste said the opportunities available to him within Ghana have been more than sufficient, noting that he has never had to rely on foreign markets to build his fortune.
“I’ve always seen myself as this international star, that you know, I just need to work on my stuff. I can get paid 1 million dollars in Ghana. I didn’t get rich anywhere, I got rich in Ghana,” he said.
Shatta Wale further explained that the level of recognition and respect he commands in the country has played a significant role in his success. According to him, he enjoys strong support from fans across the nation, as well as acknowledgment from key figures including political leaders, government officials, and event organisers.
