Soldiers retaliate after Shiite members kill colleague

A violent clash erupted in Abuja between the Nigerian Army and Shiite members on Friday.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the confrontation started when Shiite members allegedly ambushed and stoned a soldier to death.

Following the attack, the soldier’s colleagues mobilized reinforcements and retaliated with gunfire.

“The ones who survived may not make it through the weekend,” the witness added.
