Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo made an official visit to Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu (ANSPOLY)

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has denied allegations of consulting a native doctor for reelection purposes.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) learned that the Governor made his position known in a statement released on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime.

Aburime described the allegations as false, misleading, and maliciously fabricated by political opponents seeking to damage the Governor’s reputation.

A video currently circulating online had suggested that Governor Soludo sought spiritual help through traditional means ahead of the next election.

However, the Anambra State Government clarified that the video was taken during a meeting with local content creators in Anambra.

According to Aburime, the event featured comic performances, including a skit by one of the creators portraying a traditional ritual.

He explained that the skit was part of a creative showcase and not a real spiritual consultation by the Governor.

Comic skits, he added, are common in Nigeria’s entertainment scene, especially among upcoming online comedians and content producers.

“The government expresses disappointment that critics would distort a creative act to spread misinformation,” Aburime stated in the press release.

He emphasized that the Governor’s interaction with content creators reflects his support for Anambra’s youth and digital creative economy.

Aburime cited the newly launched Solution Fun City as a project that showcases the government’s commitment to creative sector growth.

He urged the public to disregard the video’s false interpretation and to verify information before sharing or reacting online.

Governor Soludo, he stressed, remains focused on delivering his Solution Agenda, which aims to transform Anambra through innovation and development.

The agenda includes goals in education, health, infrastructure, digital technology, and economic empowerment across urban and rural communities.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) learned that Governor Soludo regularly engages young entrepreneurs, artists, and digital creators in policy conversations.

His administration has promoted inclusivity and innovation by supporting initiatives that connect youth with economic and creative opportunities.

Despite political distractions, the government insists its developmental vision for Anambra remains on course and driven by clear priorities.

Aburime noted that the Governor has no time for distractions based on lies or deliberate misrepresentation of facts.

He encouraged the public to reject political propaganda and support leadership rooted in integrity, performance, and accountability.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and people-centered development across Anambra State.
