The South East received the lowest allocation in 2019 when compared with other geo-political zones, with South South receiving the highest allocation, according to data supplied by the Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).
The data, obtained by StatiSense, shows that the 2019 revenue, which included the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) and the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by zone, shows that South East: is the poorest with N540.40 billion.
South South, on the other hand, received N1.34 trillion, nearly three times the allocation of the South East region.
