SSG berates commissioners for taking files directly to governor

The Secretary to Adamawa State Government, Dr Umar Bindir, has expressed disappointment with the attitude of some commissioners who he said were fun of taking files from their ministry directly to the state Governor for approvals.

Bindir who was speaking Monday at the opening ceremony of an Executive Retreat  organized for commissioners and other top government officials in Yola also said that some ministries could not produce records of projects the executed.

Bindir said such  measures by those commissioners which included not liaising with their Permanent  Secretaries and Director budget  was not inline with due process and must stopped.

The feelers from many quarters in Adamawa state for long, is the relationship between the SSG and the state’s commissioners is getting sour base on how the SSG portray himself as “Mr perfect “.

A commissioner in one of the Ministry who pleaded for anonymity said Bindir never treats their files at the needed time, that he stock untreated files for a long period of time, even if he will,he may want them to be begging and petting him as if they are political tugs.

He added that the  SSG is frustrating the praising work of the state’s working Governor and as some of his type do not want to frustrate the Governor’s work in the state they have to bypassed him to go to the Governor that has a listening ear and want Adamawa state to progress.

“I have never seen it else where an SSG want to assume the office of the Governor at all times, it even surprises me the way he carry himself about, claiming is Mr perfect and above even to be corrected”. He said
