A stray bullet from a clash between the Bobous and Greenlanders cult groups has killed a female trader identified as Onorakpoma at the Swali Ultra Modern Market in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The victim, a native of Emede community in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, was fatally wounded while conducting her normal business in the bustling market.
According to media reports, efforts were made to rush her to a community in Southern Ijaw LGA for medical intervention, but she succumbed to the injury before getting help.
The police spokesman in Bayelsa State, DSP Musa Mohammed, confirmed the incident.
He said three suspects had been arrested in connection with the killing.
Musa said on receiving the information, the police immediately swung into action and restored calm to Swali community.
