SOUTH KOREA – International students seeking scholarship opportunities and higher education options in South Korea can now register for the official Study in Korea Webinar and Virtual Education Fair for the 2027 admission cycle.
The online event is organized through the government-backed Study in Korea platform operated by the National Institute for International Education under South Korea’s Ministry of Education.
The initiative is designed to help students explore universities, scholarships, and admission processes without the need to travel to South Korea.
The virtual platform also allows participants to interact directly with university representatives and admissions teams while exploring academic opportunities across multiple institutions.
The programme is open to international students worldwide and covers several study categories, including undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, exchange programmes, and Korean language studies.
Participants will gain access to live and recorded university presentations, scholarship guidance, admission procedures, visa information, student life resources, and research opportunities.
One of the major attractions of the programme is the English Track Pavilion, where Korean universities present degree programmes taught entirely in English.
Popular fields of study include Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Business and Management, International Studies, Robotics, and Advanced Manufacturing.
The availability of English-taught programmes provides opportunities for students who do not yet possess Korean language certification requirements.
Students will also receive information on available scholarship opportunities, including the Global Korea Scholarship, university-sponsored scholarships, graduate research funding programmes, tuition support packages, and regional scholarship incentives.
South Korea continues to attract international students because of its strong research institutions, advanced technology sector, growing number of English-taught programmes, and expanding support systems for international students.
Education experts say students interested in STEM fields such as Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, engineering, biotechnology, and robotics may particularly benefit from South Korea’s innovation-focused academic environment.
Students planning future applications can also use the event to understand scholarship timelines, admission requirements, and document preparation procedures ahead of official application periods.
