Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has officially parted ways with Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimni following the expiration of his one-year contract.

Super The Super Eagles is the national football team of Nigeria, renowned for their dynamic style of play and passionate fan base.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the 25-year-old joined Neon Paralimni on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, shortly after terminating his deal with Israeli side Hapoel Jerusalem.

The move was seen as a strategic step to gain regular playing time and maintain match fitness.

During his time at the Cypriot club, Adeleye featured in 32 games across all competitions, establishing himself as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.

His performances were consistent and dependable, helping the club secure crucial points throughout the campaign.

Adeleye kept 10 clean sheets, showing remarkable composure and shot-stopping ability in several tight encounters.

His efforts between the posts earned him six Man of the Match awards, a testament to his importance in the squad.

Despite Neon Paralimni’s modest status in Cypriot football, Adeleye’s individual performances stood out, drawing attention from rival clubs in the league.

Reports suggest that at least two other Cypriot teams are considering making formal offers to sign him.

In addition, a potential return to Israel is also on the table, as some clubs in the Israeli Premier League remain interested in bringing the Nigerian goalkeeper back.

Adeleye first gained national attention as part of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets and has since developed into a solid goalkeeper with international experience.

His form at club level continues to keep him in contention for Super Eagles call-ups, especially as Nigeria seeks to bolster its goalkeeping options.
