Taraba State Governor reaffirms partnership with Nigerian Army to Bolster Security

Abuja, Nigeria – March 17, 2025- In a decisive step to strengthen Taraba State’s security, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating closely with the Nigerian Army (NA).

He announced this during a recent courtesy visit to Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede at Abuja’s Army Headquarters.

Joined by National and State Assembly legislators, he praised troops’ sacrifices, particularly the 6 Brigade in Jalingo, for enhancing statewide safety.

Emphasizing the Army’s vital role, he stressed ongoing cooperation to address persistent security challenges in the region.

He assured the COAS of his administration’s continued support for the troops to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.

“Security is a collective responsibility,” Governor Kefas stated.

“We deeply appreciate the commitment of the Nigerian Army to safeguarding lives and property in Taraba State, and we will continue to work hand-in-hand to ensure peace and stability.”
