Teacher found dead in Kings College’s classroom

Retired police officers plan nationwide protests

A Kings College teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Akano, 48, was found dead inside a classroom on Saturday evening, sparking tension in the Lagos school community.

The Lagos State Police Command received a report about the incident from the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele, at around 7:40 p.m.

Police officers were drafted to the scene, cordoned off the area, and began preliminary investigations.

There were no immediate signs of physical trauma or violence.

Mr. Akano’s body was taken to Lagos Island Hospital, where a doctor confirmed his death.

The body has been placed in the hospital morgue pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the police have assured the public that a comprehensive investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Akano’s death.
