Aisha Buhari Returns To London

There is reported palpable tension in and around Aso Rock as the wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari hurriedly left Nigeria to visit her ailing husband, President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Nation had reported that Mrs Buhari left Nigeria on Sunday after she received an urgent call.

The president has been in London since May 7 to receive medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Buhari had just returned from the United Kingdom quite recently.

On her return, she had assured Nigerians that her husband was in good health and would return soon.

Nigerians, however, are running out of patience with the perceived gimmicks from presidential quarters.

On Monday morning, aggrieved citizens trooped out to protest Buhari’s 92-day absence.

The protesters demanded that he either resume presidential duties in Nigeria or resign.

The presidency, however, is yet to issue an official statement regarding Mrs. Buhari latest trip to London.
