DSP Ike Ekweremadu now reports progress. He says Senate met on the increase in pump price of Premium Motor Spirit – Petrol.
Senate however sympathizes with the Nigerian People, urges Labour to continue to dialogue with Government and that palliatives in the Budget 2016 be implemented to assuage the suffering of the people.

Senate moves to the consideration of the Report of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights & Legal Matters on Frivolous Petitions Bill SB. 143
Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator David Umaru now takes the floor to speak on the report.
Senator David Umaru still speaking says the Frivolous Petitions Bill if passed will conflict with some already available laws.
Senator Dino Melaye now takes the floor. He says the Frivolous Petitions Bill wont allow whistle blowing to the Police and gag the press.
Senator Shehu Sani commends the Judiciary Committee and Senator David Umaru for standing with the people and supports the withdrawal.
Senator Shehu Sani says the Frivolous Petitions Bill will stiffle the press and the social media must not be silenced.
DSP Ekweremadu says we can’t duplicate laws but then people should not malign the good names of individuals.
DSP Ekweremadu says the Frivolous Petitions Bill shows democracy and the fact that there’s a bill before the house doesn’t make it law.
DSP Ekweremadu says the Senate will not be intimidated but will continue to work for the people of Nigeria.
