The Truth Behind JAMB’s Tirades Against Chinedu, Anambra Boy Who Scored Highest

Chinedu, the boy from Anambra State who scored the highest JAMB mark.

The CEO at Educare, Mr. Alex Onyia, has decried the recent tirades by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) against Mr. Chinedu, the boy from Anambra State who scored the highest mark.

According to available records, Chinedu scored 375 of the available 400 marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Reacting to the position of JAMB, Mr. Onyia, who prides himself as the “Sultan of Software”, described JAMB’s position as “troubling”.

Writing on his “X”, formerly Twitter handle, @winexviv, Onyia gave a detailed analysis of what transpired between Chined and JAMB.

He wrote: “Chinedu boy from Anambra who scored highest in JAMB is now being accused of being a mercenary.

This accusation has really troubled me. I have been intensely engaging the father Mr. Chris Okeke since morning to get the boy’s history.

The REAL SITUATION briefly:

1. Chinedu was admitted to read Medicine and Surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2021.

2. He started his studies and continued, albeit with serious difficulties as to the suitability of the course to his Calling in life.

3. His non-acceptance of being a medical doctor culminated in his failing the 3 subjects in his 2nd MB Exam last year.

4. This confirmed to his parents, that he is not billed to be a doctor. So, they discussed extensively with him and came to the conclusion that he will lose the 3 years he had already put in since he chose to read Mechanical Engineering, which required the replacement of Biology with Mathematics in the 2025 JAMB.

5. He returned to Lagos and was immediately enlisted with Achievers Academy in Amuwo Odofin for studies and JAMB registration since the Academy does the two.

He took his studies very seriously and won all the Academy’s local prizes for academic excellence.

He eventually took the 2025 JAMB examination and was among those affected by the NOTORIOUS 2025 JAMB SYSTEMS GLITCHES.
Eventually, he reprinted his exam slip and participated in the repeat JAMB Exam.

6. Here we are, he scored 375 marks, surpassing all previous established JAMB SCORES. Indeed, his stellar academic performance has attracted mixed reactions…. the good, the bad and the ugly.

7. Chinedu is from Anambra State and had filled his PROFILE PAGE and all other documents relating to JAMB appropriately.

Unfortunately, JAMB migrated wrong details from the NIN PLATFORM and placed on his 2021 JAMB examination slip. Chinedu’s NIN Details has since been corrected and transmitted to JAMB in the form of data correction in 2021. This can be confirmed on his PROFILE PAGE.

We had thought that Chinedu’s overall attitude should be commended and recommended for those students whose initial attempts do not end in success…. try, try again!”

Mr. Onyia described JAMB’s statements as “unfortunate”, saying they “have been among the ugly”.

He expressed hope that the organization will rather conduct a thorough investigation and probably extend a thoughtful apology to Chinedu.

He concluded: “We commended Chinedu, and will continue to do so, for his resilience, commitment and unparalleled resolve to achieve his life GOALS, which we confirmed, is not rooted in Medicine and Surgery.”

JAMB is yet to react to Onyia’s expose and is yet to issue apologies to Mr. Chinedu.
