Ugandan TikToker Timothy Kayanja, popularly known as Jayden, is out of danger after undergoing a successful bone marrow surgery following months of public fundraising for his treatment.
The encouraging update was shared by media personality Gideon Nova Kwikiriza, who revealed that Jayden safely came out of the procedure and is no longer in critical condition.
“This is to inform you all that our very own, our boy Jayden had a successful bone marrow surgery and is both out of theater and danger,” he wrote, while thanking everyone who contributed to the cause and supported the young creator through his health battle.
Jayden’s condition had earlier drawn widespread attention after he revealed he was battling Aplastic anaemia, a life-threatening illness that affects the body’s ability to produce enough blood cells.
He had appealed to the public for financial assistance to undergo a bone marrow transplant, with treatment costs estimated to run into tens of millions of shillings, covering tests, donor matching, medication, and follow-up care.
His story quickly gained traction online, with fellow creators, fans, and well-wishers rallying around him and amplifying his call for help across social media platforms.
During the early stages of his treatment, TMR International Hospital reportedly provided free emergency care and supported him with essential tests as preparations for the transplant progressed.
A bone marrow transplant is a critical medical procedure used to replace damaged or failing bone marrow with healthy cells, offering patients with severe aplastic anaemia a chance at recovery and improved blood cell production.
Jayden, who is widely known for his comic and inspirational content, has since received an outpouring of support and relief from followers who closely followed his journey, with many celebrating the successful surgery as a hopeful turning point in his recovery.
