Tinubu settles rift with Sanwo-olu
Reconciliation or political cover -up?

A former Lagos lawmaker, Hon. Jude Idimogu, has praised President Bola Tinubu for reconciling with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Idimogu represented Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He described Tinubu’s move as bold, mature, and godly.
Furthermore, he made the remarks while speaking with journalists on Wednesday, June 11.
Also, he said the president’s action shows maturity, fear of God, and genuine leadership.
“I want to specially commend President Tinubu,” Idimogu stated.
He called Tinubu the Jagaban and a father figure who leads by example.
Idimogu said though he didn’t know what caused the rift, rumours had circulated widely.
He said Tinubu chose to forgive and move on during Sallah — a season for peace and reconciliation.
“Using the just-concluded Sallah to settle issues shows wisdom,” he noted.
He urged other leaders to emulate Tinubu’s forgiving spirit and humility.
Idimogu also charged both leaders to focus on their mandates.
They Must Deliver Results
He reminded the public that both Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu have two years left in their current tenures.
“Sanwo-Olu has two more years. Tinubu also has two years before 2027,” he said.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu will complete his first term successfully.
In expression, he said no force can stop the president from returning for a second term.
“No matter what enemies or coalitions do, Tinubu will finish well,” he declared.
He prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, and long life for the president.
According to him, Tinubu deserves full respect as both kingmaker and king.
“Give him that due respect,” he said firmly.
He also praised Sanwo-Olu’s personality and work ethics.
Idimogu described the governor as soft-spoken, intelligent, and calm.
“I give Sanwo-Olu 80% performance score,” he said.
He insisted that the governor fears God and serves with humility.
Everyone Offends, Even Leaders
The former lawmaker said any offence by Sanwo-Olu was unintentional.
“Sometimes we offend people unknowingly,” he stated.
He said responsible people apologise when they realise their mistakes.
“I believe Sanwo-Olu must have apologised,” he added.
He also commended the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) for their role.
Idimogu hailed the GAC for stepping in to settle the matter.
Also,he praised their leader for showing maturity and wisdom.
“That Baba looks quiet, but he is full of wisdom,” he said.
He described the council’s intervention as timely and effective.
He prayed for God to bless and strengthen the council’s leadership.
He encouraged other leaders to learn from Tinubu’s humility.
“To err is human, but to forgive is divine,” he concluded.
