The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has denied claims that he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Tompolo made the clarification in a statement signed by his media consultant, Paul Bebenimibo, on Sunday.

He described the reports circulating on social media as false, mischievous, and the handiwork of detractors aiming to tarnish his image.

“We wish to state unequivocally that High Chief Ekpemupolo did not author or sanction the said publication.

It is the handiwork of detractors attempting to discredit him because of his firm stance against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region,” the statement said.

Tompolo emphasized that he had no connection whatsoever with Nnamdi Kanu or any issue related to the IPOB leader’s detention.

He maintained that his focus remains on supporting the Federal Government’s efforts to end oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta.

Reaffirming his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Tompolo expressed full support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and publicly endorsed the President for a second term.

“The Federal Government and the general public should disregard the false report.

It does not reflect Tompolo’s position or any of his official communications,” the statement concluded.

The former militant leader, who now heads one of Nigeria’s most prominent private security outfits, has been instrumental in curbing oil theft in the Niger Delta under government-backed surveillance contracts.

His swift denial comes amid heightened social media debates linking prominent figures to renewed calls for Nnamdi Kanu’s release a development that has stirred political and regional sensitivities across the country.
