Some commuters travelling along Osogbo/Ibokun Road in Osun State have been abducted by suspected herdsmen on Tuesday.
News of the incidence was broken by the Field Commander of Osun State Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu.
It was gathered that the armed men attacked the travellers and killed one of them, while taking several unspecified number of commuters away.
Confirming the abduction, Comrade Shittu told newsmen: “One person was killed by the gunmen while they abducted an unknown number of travellers.
“We saw spent shells of AK-47 bullets used at the scene.
“We are still combing the forest to rescue those that were kidnapped.”
