Troops neutralize three insurgents in Kaduna operation

On March 11, 2025, troops from Sub-Sector 4 conducted Operation FANSAN YAMMA and successfully neutralize three insurgents.

This ambush occurred near Ngwagi Hill in the Gwagwada Community, which is located off the Kaduna-Abuja highway in Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Following actionable intelligence, troops from Sub-Sector 4 intercepted three insurgents near Ngwagi Hill in Gwagwada Community, Kaduna State, during Operation FANSAN YAMMA.

After swiftly deploying along the Kaduna-Abuja highway, they executed a precise ambush, neutralizing threats targeting Chikun Local Government Area.

Upon detecting extremist movements, forces launched a long-range patrol, disrupting attacks through rapid response tactics near strategic transit zones.

The operation was executed at a suspected crossing point, where the soldiers arrived around 5:30 PM on Tuesday, March 11. In a surprise offensive, they effectively eliminated three armed members of the criminal group.

The operation also led to the recovery of significant arms and ammunition.

Troops confiscated two AK-47 rifles and eight magazines, as well as 374 rounds of 7.62mm x 39 ammunition. In addition, they seized 88 rounds of 7.62mm x 54 NATO ammunition and other valuable items during the operation.

During the operation, the troops recovered an Infinix phone, medical supplies, clothing, and dry rations that could support the community. These findings significantly contributed to the mission’s overall success and emphasized the efficiency of the operation.

Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso praised the troops for their resilience and precision in executing their tasks effectively. He highlighted their critical role in ensuring Operation FANSAN YAMMA’s ongoing success and securing the region.

Through unwavering focus and determination, the troops executed strategic maneuvers that significantly disrupted insurgent activities and enhanced local safety. Ultimately, their efforts showcased the effectiveness of their training and dedication to protecting the community’s stability.

He praised their disciplined execution, underscoring the operation’s impact on regional security.
