President Donald Trump has warned that US forces have not yet begun what he described as the full phase of attacks on Iran, saying more key infrastructure could be targeted in the coming days.
In a post on his Truth Social platform late Thursday, Trump said the U.S. military “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran,” adding that bridges and power plants could be next.
The remarks came just hours after he claimed that Iran’s tallest bridge had already been destroyed.
Trump has repeatedly insisted that most of Iran’s major military targets have already been hit during the ongoing conflict, which has lasted for several weeks.
However, his latest comments suggest that further strikes could still be on the way.
He also hinted at ongoing pressure on Iran’s leadership to reach an agreement with Washington, saying the country’s “new regime leadership knows what has to be done” and must act quickly a likely reference to calls for a ceasefire deal.
The latest statement adds to growing tensions between the two countries, as the situation continues to evolve with no clear end in sight.
