Nigeria House of Representatives

Two members of the House of Representatives have defected from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress, (APC).

The lawmakers, Usman and Sani, who represent Rano/Bunkure/Kibiya and Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituencies in Kano State respectively, said their decision was influenced by “the internal crisis rocking the NNPP.”

Also announcing his departure from his former party was Oluwole Oke, who represents Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State.

He too has now joined the APC.

Meanwhile, present at the session to welcome the new entrants was APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who showed support for the defecting lawmakers.
