Two year-old boy kills self with father’s gun in US
A two-year-old boy has accidentally shot himself dead with his father’s gun, according to reports by US media.
The child was taken to hospital from his home in Cleveland’s Brooklyn Centre neighborhood, Ohio following the incident Friday morning, and died during surgery.
A neighbor told local media that she heard the boy’s brother run outside the house when the gun went off and then she called 911.
She said the child suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was lying on the floor.
The boy’s father, a 54-year-old police officer, has been on duty since 1993, according to a Cleveland police statement.
Investigations are still under way. There have been no arrests.
