The government of United Kingdom has increased the number of organisations licensed to sponsor workers on the worker and temporary worker immigration routes.
Checks on the list which was updated on Friday, August 23, shows that it now has 119,195 approved companies.
The newly updated list covers companies across various sectors, including technology, commerce, education, media and advertisement, and engineering.
Nigerians and other interested applicants have been encouraged to visit the websites of these approved companies to search for available vacancies that match their qualifications and skills.
According to the UK government, the Skilled Worker visa allows individuals to come to or stay in the UK for an eligible job with an approved employer.
This visa category includes several roles, such as charity workers, skilled workers, creative workers, global business mobility specialists, and international sportspersons.
To qualify for a Skilled Worker visa, applicants must have a job offer from an approved UK employer. These approved employers are referred to as sponsors, as they facilitate the process for applicants to come to or stay in the UK.
Also, for those considering applying, it’s essential to first secure a job offer from one of these licensed sponsors, which can be found on the approved companies’ list, available through the UK government’s official channels.
