UK Offers Fully Funded Master’s Scholarships to Nigerians
Here’s How to Apply

The United Kingdom has opened applications for the 2025/2026 Chevening Scholarship programme.
This prestigious, fully funded scheme offers one-year master’s degrees at any UK university to future leaders worldwide, including Nigeria.
The British High Commission in Nigeria confirmed the opening of the application window on August 5, and will close on October 7, 2025.
Selected applicants will receive full financial support covering tuition, travel, living costs, and additional allowances.
Building Tomorrow’s Leaders
Chevening is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). It targets individuals with strong academic records, leadership potential, and a clear vision to create positive change in their communities.
Since its launch in 1983, the programme has empowered over 60,000 professionals globally.
Nigeria remains a key beneficiary, with hundreds of scholars advancing in fields such as media, governance, law, and development.
Emma Hennessey, Head of the Scholarships Unit at the FCDO, highlighted the scholarship’s long-term impact.
“Chevening’s selection process is tough. But that ensures we choose the brightest minds.
Alumni go on to lead change in their countries using the skills, knowledge, and networks gained in the UK,” she said.
