On the eve of the safe rescue of eighty members of the Chibok girls, the United States and British governments are issuing high-sounding warnings about the Boko Haram extremist group.

The two countries have issued warnings to foreigners in northeast Nigeria that the terrorist group is presently planning to kidnap them in further exchange fo their incarcerated members.

The girls, according to government sources, were released after negotiation with the militants.

In fact, as at press time of this article, the released girls are being hosted in the Presidential villa, Abuja.

However, the British warning says the extremists are targeting Western foreign workers in the Bama area of Borno state, close to the Cameroon border.

The Nigeria-based Boko Haram has been pushed out of strongholds by military efforts but continues to control parts of the country’s northeast.

The World Food Program has warned of aid cuts if more help doesn’t arrive.
