Umahi hails Tinubu as “Joseph the dreamer,” commends bold infrastructure drive
DDM News

Minister of Works, David Umahi, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold leadership and visionary development agenda.
Speaking at the Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja, Umahi likened the President to the biblical Joseph the dreamer, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathers.
He said Tinubu’s courage and determination are evident in his pursuit and execution of landmark national projects.
According to Umahi, God has enabled President Tinubu to fulfill his dreams and aspirations for Nigeria.
He recalled how Tinubu’s tenure as Lagos State Governor continues to inspire national development efforts.
Umahi referenced the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as one of Tinubu’s ambitious projects currently under construction.
He said the project reminded him of Eko Atlantic City, initiated during Tinubu’s time as Lagos governor.
That project, he noted, proved Tinubu’s ability to dream big and achieve remarkable results.
“Mr President is a man of courage. I call him Joseph the dreamer,” Umahi said during his address.
He commended the President for boldly taking on large-scale infrastructure projects across the country.
Umahi also highlighted the Sokoto-Badagry Road project as another example of Tinubu’s visionary leadership.
He said the road was first envisioned 47 years ago under President Shehu Shagari’s administration.
The former Ebonyi State Governor noted that Tinubu revived the idea and adjusted the route for impact.
He explained the original plan was from Badagry to Sokoto, but Tinubu reversed it to Sokoto-Badagry.
According to Umahi, this change shows the President’s commitment to national unity and economic growth.
He emphasized that reviving such an old project requires courage, vision, and determined leadership.
Umahi praised Tinubu for staying focused on national goals despite criticism and challenges.
He stated that Nigeria’s economic indicators are beginning to show positive trends under Tinubu’s leadership.
“Our GDP is rising, inflation is declining, and the foreign exchange situation is improving,” Umahi said.
He added that the World Bank recently confirmed Nigeria no longer owes the institution.
“Let’s applaud Mr President, a man of exceptional courage,” he declared.
Umahi’s remarks come amid public debate on the impact of Tinubu’s economic policies.
He insisted that current infrastructure projects will boost growth and promote national development.
The Minister’s comments highlight the administration’s efforts to tackle long-standing development challenges.
As the government pushes forward, Umahi believes Tinubu’s vision will drive lasting national transformation.
