(DDM) — The University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, has officially announced the closure of its 2025/2026 admission process on Friday, October 31, 2025, calling on all prospective and newly admitted students to finalize their admission clearance immediately.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the university issued the notice through its Registrar, Barr. Richmond Omagbemi, who warned that any unaccepted admission offers will automatically lapse once the deadline passes.

According to Omagbemi, candidates who have been offered admission into various programmes must complete their acceptance, payment, and clearance procedures within the stipulated period to avoid forfeiture of their spots.

“The University of Delta remains committed to ensuring a seamless admission process, but students must take responsibility by concluding all documentation before the official closure,” he stated.

The registrar also urged admitted candidates to visit the university’s admission portal and confirm their admission status, adding that those who fail to accept offers through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) CAPS platform will be deemed to have declined the offer.

DDM learned that the institution emphasized that no extensions or late clearance will be entertained after October 31, as preparations for the new academic session are already underway.

In its statement, UNIDEL congratulated all successfully admitted students and encouraged them to assemble the necessary documents, including their JAMB admission letters, O’level results, birth certificates, and medical fitness reports, to ensure smooth registration when the session begins.

University officials disclosed that academic and hostel allocations will commence immediately after the admission process closes, while orientation for new students has been scheduled to hold in mid-November 2025.

DDM also gathered that the university’s management expressed satisfaction with the orderly conduct of the admission exercise, noting that the process reflected transparency, merit, and inclusivity in line with Nigeria’s higher education standards.

Omagbemi further advised candidates who are yet to upload their O’level results or verify their credentials on JAMB CAPS to do so urgently, warning that failure to comply will lead to automatic disqualification.

The registrar reiterated the university’s dedication to academic excellence and administrative efficiency, assuring students that UNIDEL is ready to welcome them into an environment of innovation, discipline, and learning opportunities.

As the October 31 deadline approaches, both new and returning students have been urged to stay informed through official university communication channels and avoid relying on unverified social media sources for admission updates.

The University of Delta, established to promote quality education and community development in Delta State, continues to position itself as one of the fastest-growing state universities in southern Nigeria, offering diverse academic programmes and modern learning facilities.
