Unique Gold Legend Club inauguration,leaders expressed satisfaction
The Unique Gold Legend Club 2024 which was inaugurated on the 5th Jan., 2025 in Owerri; the leaders had expressed satisfaction over the successful outcome.
The Board of Trustees BOT chairman of the Club, Nze Stanley Okechukwu Obi has expressed heavy satisfaction over the outcome of the event.
” I thank God for the success of today’s inauguration. During preparation it looked like it would not work but today see how people are celebrating”, he stated.
Nze Obi whose title is Ohamadike said the club is a group of brothers and sisters who came together to promote Igbo culture and traditions.
Ohamadike noted that the Club was formed to help the less privileged persons and assist for the good of Igbo land.
He said it shall be an annual event that will not only be for celebration, but will empower the needy in the society.
“We want our igbo land to be good that is why we will help the poor people in our midst”, he stated.
Nze Obi said entry should be from age twenty five (25) to sixty five (65) years because they don’t want those that will cause trouble and those going on retirement.
The Governor General of the Club, His Excellency, Dr Emeka Enyinnia said in his address that the Unique Gold Legends 2024 Club marked its birthday on the 5th Jan 2025.
He said the club is made up of unique and distinguished gentlemen and ladies from all walks of life, hailing from Orlu zone, Imo state and South East.
The Governor General said the Club started officially in April 2024 with four members and today had grown to eighty eight (88) members.
One of the founding members, Chief Ofoegbu Maxwell expressed his profound joy over the inauguration.
He said the essence of the Club was to help the less privileged persons and to help themselves adding that the club comprises Igbos in Germany, Japan, USA etc.
Chief Gabriel Nwokeji, another founding member said he was happy because of the inauguration and added that the club would produce governors, Senators etc.
Chief Mike Uzowuihe said he was dumbfounded at the success of the event and commended the Governor General for nurturing the club.
Chief Chimere Abba said what he saw during the inauguration overwhelmed him and added that the club has raised money to take off.
The highpoint of the inauguration was a lavished entertainment.
Other dignitaries who attended the event included Prince Joseph Okwara, chairman of the occasion, Chief Tochi Ken Eleazu, special guest of honour, Prof Protus Uzoma, guest speaker.
