A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Damian Dodo [above], was interrogated for eight hours by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) operatives in relation to the infamous Halliburton Scandal.
This was disclosed, on Thursday, in a statement by EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren.
The EFCC reports that it has stepped up investigations into the notorious Halliburton scam and that Mr. Dodo’s questioning is connected to this probe.
Sources close to the investigation disclosed that Mr. Dodo was being questioned for his role in the alleged $26 million bribery of a former minister and five other Nigerian lawyers.
The former minister involved is said to be former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation Muhammed Adoke.
The EFCC alleges that Mr. Dodo received $4.5 million through his legal firm, DD Dodo and Co., from multinational companies connected to the Halliburton bribery scandal using the false cover of legal services.
It is also alleged that Mr. Dodo withdrew more than $2 million in cash “in flagrant violation of extant money laundering regulations,” according to the EFCC.

But who is Damian Dodo? They should be interrogating Obama and Obasanjo and Atiku and Cheney and all the big guys on the Halliburton Bribery Scandal List. Obasanjo knows how to scare the shit out of these people.
Obasanjo was president when Halliburton heisted $billions from Nigeria. The heist was so obscene Obama got $billions in a cut for USA in the form of a fine against Halliburton for robbing Africa.
As president, Obasanjo should be facing EFCC. When you take a look at the Halliburton Bribery Scandal List, Obasanjo heads the list. But they are interrogating Dodo?
Look. Buhari went on junket to G7 and the USA. Buhari wants a loan from IMF. If you notice, nothing is stirring or happening with those projects. And nothing will happen until Buhari shows that Nigeria is serious about the war on corruption.
If you notice, when Buhari got to London, neither the Queen not the Prime Minister allowed him to visit them until he concludes the war on corruption.
A 2 week visit was cut to 3 days. When he volunteered that Nigerians were all criminals was when London kind of booted him out because of Biafra.
Leave Dodo alone. We don’t want any fried plantain. We want Obasanjo. If you can prosecute and convict Obasanjo on the Halliburton Bribery Scandal, conviction is a sure thing and all the other looters will fall like a deck of cards.
USA already did the investigations and convictions and already got their cut of the heist. Prosecuting Metuh does not mean a thing. Fishing for minnow when the big fish are nibbling on your toes do not make any sense.
The nation will erupt in applause the day that Obasanjo is in handcuffs and headed to jail for corruption. That will signal the beginning of the end of corruption in Africa.
