Gunmen suspected to be bandits in the night of Thursday, launched a vacious attack on the Catholic Church located in Fadam Kamantan, Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.
The Parish in Kamantan is under the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Jema’a local government area.
In a video exclusively obtained by NewsBand Newspaper, the criminal elements set the parish ablaze before eloping into the bush.
Unfortunately, a seminarian died during the attack by the terrorists. Sources said that the deceased seminarian identified as Stephen Naman died from the smoke he inhaled while attempting to escape from the grasp of the attackers.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the spokesman of the command in Kaduna, ASP Mansir Alhassan, confirmed the incident.
