The family of the lawmaker who represented Anambra South Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has officially confirmed his death.
His death was officially announced in a statement by Ifeanyi Ubah Junior on behalf of the family.
The statement described the late Senator as a devoted family man, an astute businessman, a dedicated public servant, and a champion of the people.
Ubah Junior however, added that the family will take comfort in the memories of his love and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.
The statement reads, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and Distinguished Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (CON). He departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2024, in the United Kingdom.
“Sen. Ubah was a devoted family man, an astute businessman, a dedicated public servant, and a champion of the people. His contributions to the development of Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole will be deeply missed.
“We take comfort in the memories of his love and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. His legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us to strive for excellence.
“We request that you join us in praying for the repose of his soul and for strength and comfort for his family.
“Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
NewsBand reported that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah arrived in London on July 25, 2024, unfortunately, a massive heart attack struck while he was in his hotel room on Saturday, July 26, 2024. He did not recover from it.
