All is now set for the flag-off of Child Trust Foundation (CTF), pet project of the wife of the transition Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Mrs. Bridget Ben.
The project which is a follow up to what the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Martha Udom is doing at the State level will flag-off at a well-attended event at the Council Hall of Uyo Local Government Secretariat on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
The mission of Child Trust Foundation (CTF) is “to improve the health, educational attainment, welfare and living standard for children as well rehabilitating displace children who need help most”.
The foundation, which will be flag-off by Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, is a community based initiative with commitment to ensuring that children experience quality care and education within a good nurturing environment. It is also committed to creating access to preventive health services and safe physical, mental and social well-being for children and young people with emphasis on displaced and physically challenged children.
Mrs. Ben said that she draw the vision of Child Trust Foundation from what Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel is doing through FEYReP. She described FEReP as one platform that has helped the less-privileged persons in the State, adding that doing same at the Local Government level would help government touch a greater number of people.
The occasion marking the flag-off will feature paper presentations by eminent persons, presentation of school uniforms to school children, and presentation of exercise book to schools across Uyo Local Government Area.
The first lady of Uyo Local Government Area has graciously invited all well-meaning persons to the event and to team up with Child Trust Foundation to reach out to children and the less-privileged ones in the State.
