VeryDarkMan Calls Adeleke ‘Political Puppet’ Over Visit To Wike And Tinubu (VIDEO)

Social commentator VeryDarkMan has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke following his recent visits to President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in Abuja.

Adeleke, who recently secured re-election in the Osun State governorship election, visited President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa and later met with Wike. During the visit to Tinubu, Adeleke presented his certificate of return and thanked the President for what he described as allowing a free and fair electoral process.

Reacting to images and videos from the meetings, VeryDarkMan questioned why Adeleke would present his certificate of return to Wike, who serves as a federal minister.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke is a political puppet. Tell me why you’re presenting your certificate to Wike, a Minister,” he said in a reaction shared by YabaLeftOnline.

VeryDarkMan argued that Adeleke’s actions could be interpreted as an attempt to align with or validate the political structure of the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite Adeleke being associated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also criticised Adeleke for his reported support for President Tinubu after winning the Osun election, arguing that the development represented a significant shift from the political criticisms directed at the APC before the election.

VeryDarkMan further compared Adeleke’s approach with that of former Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, saying he respected Fubara for standing by his political position despite facing serious opposition.

The social commentator also suggested that Adeleke’s recent political engagements could have implications for Nigeria’s 2027 elections, particularly regarding President Tinubu’s political prospects.

However, Adeleke has presented his meetings differently. Speaking after his meeting with Tinubu, the governor said he was there to thank the President for supporting democracy and allowing what he described as a free and fair election.

Adeleke’s meetings with Tinubu and Wike come shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him the winner of the Osun governorship election, where he secured 511,067 votes to defeat APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes. Adeleke won 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas.

The visits have since generated debate online over political loyalty, post-election reconciliation and the increasingly fluid alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
