Verydarkman slams Kiddwaya over Benue fundraising post
DDM News

Popular social media activist Verydarkman has criticized reality TV star Kiddwaya for attempting to raise funds online in response to the recent Benue massacre.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that Verydarkman condemned Kiddwaya for posting an account number on social media without first verifying the actual needs of affected communities.
In a strongly worded video uploaded to his YouTube channel, the activist accused Kiddwaya of being out of touch with the suffering in Benue State.
“I am happy that Nigerians rebuked you to the point where you had to delete it,” Verydarkman said, reacting to the backlash Kiddwaya received online.
He further accused the former Big Brother Naija contestant of flaunting luxury online while ignoring genuine social responsibility.
“You show off your wealth every day but couldn’t take real action when it mattered most,” he added.
The criticism comes in the wake of a brutal attack in Yelewata, Benue State, where suspected herdsmen killed over 120 people, including women and children.
The incident has sparked outrage across Nigeria and renewed calls for improved security in rural communities.
Verydarkman also issued a stern warning to NGOs and individuals planning to exploit the tragedy for financial gain.
“Unless you are raising funds for proper security measures, don’t post any account numbers,” he declared.
He emphasized that the people of Benue do not need donations or charity handouts but urgent government-backed security solutions.
He encouraged local vigilantes and community leaders to coordinate with state authorities to implement official protection strategies.
The video, particularly the segment from 1:04 to 1:12, captured his passionate rebuke and has since gone viral on social media.
His remarks reflect a broader public sentiment in Nigeria, where citizens are increasingly suspicious of opportunistic fundraising following national tragedies.
As outrage grows, many continue to demand justice for the victims and long-term solutions to the ongoing violence in Nigeria’s Middle Belt.
