The former Senior Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs, Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, has in an apparent lie, told CNN that the lady with the bartered eye incident happened in South East “where Peter Obi came from”.
Ajuri Ngelale told the lie during and interview with Jane Asher on CNN, claiming that the incident involving Mrs Jennifer Efedi, happened in South East instead of Lagos which everyone is aware of.
A little search on the internet showed that Efedi was attacked and stabbed in the face by thugs at the Nuru/Oniwo Ward, Polling Unit 065, in Surulere, Lagos, while waiting to vote on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Following the “beautiful lie”, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rewarded Ngelale with appointment as SA Media and Publicity.

It could be recalled that Mrs Efedi was attacked on 25 February, in an attempt to stop her from voting but she returned to the polling booth, stood her ground and actually voted.
Peter Obi, afterwards, paid her a surprise visit a few days later to console her.
