VIDEO: Results different from BVAS-transmitted results illegal — Senate President Lawan

More trouble may be brewing for the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, as the President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmad Lawan may have made an indicting statement against the electoral umpire over the just-concluded 2023 presidential election.

According to Senator Lawan in the attached video, results different from BVAS-transmitted results are illegal.

Speaking during plenary on Thursday, the Senate President was heard saying that any results DIFFERENT from the transmitted results from the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) is illegal.

Recall that INEC chairman Yakubu, last year, appeared on several TV and workshop and assured Nigerians that results will be transmitted electronically.

However, without explanation, Yakubu actually ditched the legal procedure and opted for manual collation of results.

Ironically, almost a week after the election has been concluded, INEC has yet to upload the whole results to its website.

Reacting to the controversies trailing the election which saw the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerge winner, Lawan said:
