According to an eye witness who spoke with News Band, the ragtag gunmen were taken out during a gun duel with the Nigerian soldiers.

Meanwhile, Anambra State of late has become a safe haven for criminal elements masquerading as agitators. Top businessmen and politicians have been killed in gruesome manner.

The latest onslaught by the gunmen was against the senator representing Anambra South senatorial district, Ifeanyi Ubah which resulted to the death of his aides and security operatives in his convoy.

However, governor Chukwuma Soludo who has taken the war to the bandits, has vowed that his administration will do everything humanly possible to flush out the rogue elements fueling insecurity in the state.
