Water Company MD to receive Fellowship Award from Nigerian Society of Engineers

In recognition of his commitment and significant contributions to the engineering profession, the Managing Director of Akwa Water Company Limited, Engr. Edo Etuk, is set to receive the prestigious Fellowship Cadre Award from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

Engr. Etuk announced this during an interview with pressmen at his office on Brook Street, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The award ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the NSE conference room located on Sani Abacha Way, Abuja.

The Uyo chapter of the NSE, chaired by Engr. Uwem Akpan, along with the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, chaired by Engr. Samuel Ukata, recommended Engr. Etuk for this honour.

They cited his insightful presentations, which have enriched discussions and expanded collective knowledge in engineering.

Engr. Etuk has exhibited exemplary leadership skills by chairing several statutory and ad hoc committees within the branch. His effectiveness in leading these committees has been instrumental in the successful execution of various projects and initiatives.

Expressing profound gratitude to God for the grace to be among the selected engineers for the award, Engr. Etuk emphasized that he was overwhelmed with exhilaration. Noted that the award will encourage him to contribute even more to the field.

He praised the two associations for their recommendations and expressed deep appreciation for his wife’s support and prayers. “In every successful man, there must be a virtuous woman beside him,” he added.

“I am overwhelmed with joy to announce my inauguration. I appreciate God for the strength, zeal, and knowledge that have brought me to this level. I invite my colleagues and everyone to come witness and celebrate with me,” Etuk stated.
