The newly formed political wing of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), has declared that Emma Powerful, the spokesman of the separatist movement and Chinasa Nworu, another arrowhead of the group can’t hide from the sweeping reality staring at the organization at the moment.
IPW said this in a statement by it’s spokesman, Mazi Nwachukwu Emereonye, which a copy was made available to Newsband Newspaper.
The group categorically dismissed claims by Emma Powerful that it was formed by Nigeria’s Department of State Service (DSS).
It insisted in the statement that IPOB Political Wing is a patriotic plan aimed to continue the quest for Igbo emancipation in a more strategic style and has no form of affiliation with DSS.
Also, IPW noted that self-determination has gone past the era of shooting and killing people, adding that it’s now a strategic thing which can be gotten through politics.
However, while making reference to what is happening in Gaza and Lebanon, IPW urged Emma Powerful and Chinasa Nworu to learn a lesson from it and stop dwelling in a strategy that will never work.
The statement reads, “Recently, we floated IPOB Political Wing, which was a result of indirect discussions with Nnamdi Kanu. We made clear that the Political Wing will continue to carry on the quest for Biafra, but in a more strategic way.
“Relying on the giant stride we made to bring peace and and continue the quest for Biafra through politics and diplomacy, the spokesman of DOS version of IPOB asked us to show ourselves, saying they are on ground.
“The simple question to ask Emma Power is, where has he been and who has seen him? Chinasa Nworu has been hiding in a foreign country while deceiving strong youths of Ndigbo to die in the utopia quest of his group, which is focused on financial contributions.
“We have made reference to what is happening in Gaza and Lebanon, we expected them to learn a lesson from it, but they are unconcerned because they live abroad.
“IPOB Political Wing is not a DSS plan. it’s a patriotic plan aimed to continue the quest for Igbo emancipation, Scotland succeeded politically, why waste our time with a strategy that will never work.
“Self-determination has gone past the era of shooting and killing people. It’s now a strategic thing which can be gotten through politics. We urge our people to wise up.
“Since 2015, what have they achieved? Killings here and there, and the bad eggs have taken advantage of a mistake they made. How could you arm people while you are hiding in foreign land, and still lie that you are on ground.
“Our people have chosen to embrace political approach to achieving the same thing Chinasa Nworu and Emma Powerful are wasting lives for. They know with certainty that they can’t achieve anything. They should accept reality instead of ranting aimlessly.”
