A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, Chief Joe Igbokwe, has officially announced that some leaders of thought from the Southeast region, have provided what he described as ’empirical and damning evidence’ against the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
He said this in a post on his verified Facebook page on Friday.
According to Igbokwe, the evidences is about the tragic, unmitigated, despicable disaster and bloodshed the people of the Southeast suffered in the last 10 years in the hands of Nnamdi Kanu and his gang of criminals.
Igbokwe accused the group of butchering hundreds of Igbos under the guise of Biafra agitation.
He said: “I and my wonderful and fearless colleagues from the South East Nigeria have provided empirical and damning evidences about the tragic, unmitigated, despicable disaster and bloodshed our people suffered in the 10 years. I have always believed that Igbo are courageous people. I have always believed that we are lovers of ourselves. I have not forgotten the ‘Onye Aghana Nwanneya’culture in Igboland.
“Dynamics changed. Things fell apart. Wickedness enveloped the land of the Rising Sun. Igbo began to kill Igbo. Igbo began to set our homes ablaze. They started killing the economy of SE. They started war of Igbo against Igbo.
“They looted our mothers and girls. They stole vehicles, motorcycles, and even bicycles etc. They rendered Igbo land nugatory. They told us they are for Biafra but they are despicable thieves without conscience, without life, with souls, without shame.
“They butchered our people in their hundreds and nobody buried them.
“Today the hediots among us are telling PBAT to release the real butcher of South called Nnamdi Kanu. I have all the videos of his atrocities and human degradation. It is not only an eyesore but mouth sore, ear sore, nose sore and head sore.”
This medium reported that gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network of the Indigenous People Of Biafra in 2022, invaded Igbokwe’s home in Nnewi and set it ablaze.
He was accused of being too critical of the separatist movement.
