Where Is Nnamdi Kanu?

The Defence Headquarters has declared that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], Nnamdi Kanu is not in military custody.

The declaration was made by the Defence Headquarters spokesperson, Mr John Enenche.

Mr John Enenche, while making the declaration, stated that it was not the responsibility of the military to declare Kanu wanted.

Eneche maintained that the whereabouts of the IPOB leader was unknown.

He said this while addressing journalists on Friday.

According to Enenche, “Nnamdi Kanu is not in the custody of the military.

“It is not the responsibility of the military to declare Nnamdi Kanu wanted. The military did not proscribe IPOB.

“Due process was followed to proscribe it.

“The job of the military was to diagnose security issues and warned the public of consequences and that is part of our media operations.

“We did our media operations very well.

“Otherwise that weekend would have been the longest weekend in this country and we are also very careful choosing our words and we know the law very well,” he concluded.

After a recorded and well-publicised military invasion of his residence in Umuahia on September 14, Kanu has not been seen or heard from.

The question on the lips of observers is: “Where Is Nnamdi Kanu?”

Following that invasion, IPOB has announced that it will drag former governor of Abia State, Mr Orji Uzor Kalu, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai and a host of others to court to account for Kanu’s whereabouts.
