The African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, has cynically challenged Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to tell the state residents where they can find the “Dubai-Taiwan” he promised.
Mr. Nwosu made the challenge in a press release made available to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
In the statement, Nwosu regretted that instead of the promised golden tomorrow, people see are “broken dreams, dashed expectations, and a people betrayed”.
In the statement entitled “Where Is the Dubai-Taiwan We Were Promised? Soludo’s APGA Has Scammed the Hopes of Anambra People — But with ADC, Our Dreams Will Rise Again!”, Nwosu said:
“When Professor Charles Soludo stood before Ndi Anambra and painted his grand vision of a “Dubai-Taiwan” transformation, hope filled our hearts.
“Anambrains believed him.
“We believed that, at last, a son of the soil brilliant, exposed, and eloquent had come to rewrite the destiny of our dear state.
“We saw in his words the promise of a golden tomorrow. But today, as we look around Anambra, what do we see?
“Broken dreams, dashed expectations, and a people betrayed.
“The “Dubai-Taiwan” promise has become nothing but a political mirage, a sweet story told to win power, not to transform lives.
“Our roads still bleed with potholes and our youths still wander the streets, jobless and forgotten.
“Our traders still cry under the weight of multiple taxation.
“Insecurity stalks our towns, and the so-called “solution” government has become the problem itself.”

“Scammed… our votes… collective hope”
The ADC governorship candidate cried that the government in power scammed Anambra residents of their votes and collective hope.
He regretted that instead of the beauty of Dubai and the innovation of Taiwan, the people inherited dirty markets and excuses.
He said further: “Soludo and APGA have scammed not just our votes, but our collective hope.
“They took the trust of Ndi Anambra and turned it into a personal empire, a theatre of self-praise and empty press statements.
“Instead of Dubai’s beauty, we got dirty markets; instead of Taiwan’s innovation, we got excuses.
“The once vibrant heartbeat of the Southeast is now gasping for breath under a government that talks more than it works.”
“A new dawn”
Nwosu, however, assured Ndi Anambra that a new dawn is rising that will brew hope, integrity, and people-driven governance.
He stated: There is a new dawn rising. That movement wears the badge of ADC.
“A silent revolution is brewing in the hearts of Ndi Anambra, a movement of hope, integrity, and people driven governance.
“With ADC, we see a new possibility, one that puts the people first; one that listens before it acts; one that values the woman in Awka market as much as the professor in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
“With ADC, we can reclaim the Anambra of our dreams, a state of innovation, productivity, and pride.
“We no longer need empty promises, we need action. We no longer want rulers, we need leaders.
“The time has come to say “Enough!” to deception dressed in grammar, to arrogance wrapped in technocratic titles.
“The time has come to rise with ADC the people’s platform, the hope of the youths, the voice of the voiceless.
“Anambra deserves better. Ndi Anambra deserve leaders who will turn promises into progress, and dreams into development.
“Soludo and APGA may have scammed our hopes, but with ADC, our dreams will rise again, stronger, brighter, and unstoppable.”
He concluded by saying that the only way to Anambra’s Dubai Taiwan is through ADC.
