The United States President Donald Trump, has been declared “fully fit” to serve as commander-in-chief by his personal physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, on Sunday April 13, 2025.

This revelation followed the release of Trump’s medical examination report conducted at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

According to reports, Trump, 79, has shed 20 pounds since his last physical as president in 2020, now weighing 224 pounds with a body mass index (BMI) of 28.0 shifting him from the obesity category to overweight.

The doctor attributed the weight loss to the president’s “active lifestyle,” which includes frequent golfing.

Barbabella, a seasoned military doctor with service records in Iraq and Afghanistan, released a three-page summary of the exam.

He affirmed that Trump remains in “excellent health” with “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and general physical function.”

The report also disclosed past cataract surgery on both eyes and a colonoscopy conducted in July 2024, which revealed a benign polyp and signs of diverticulosis a common age-related intestinal condition.

Trump also passed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) test once again the same test he famously passed during his presidency, which he often recalls by reciting the test words: “Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.”

His blood pressure was recorded at 128/74, slightly elevated but still within a manageable range.

Cholesterol levels have shown significant improvement over the years, with his current total cholesterol now at 140, thanks to continued use of rosuvastatin and ezetimibe.

Trump’s heart rate was a steady 62 beats per minute, indicating good cardiovascular fitness.

The doctor also noted minor sun damage and some benign skin lesions, but ruled out any serious concerns.

The report further confirmed scarring on Trump’s right ear, a remnant of the July 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.

When asked about the key to his health, Trump told reporters, “I enjoy what I’m doing and I like the results.

“I think we’re making America great again and it makes me feel good. It probably keeps me happy.”

Trump, currently the oldest man to ever be elected U.S. president, remains four years younger than his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, who completed his term at age 82.

While Trump has often criticized Biden’s mental and physical capacity, he has been notably discreet about his own health details.

However, this latest report appears to offer a calculated step toward transparency, reassuring his base ahead of the upcoming election season.

Medical professionals and political observers are likely to scrutinize the details in the coming days, but for now, the message from Trump’s camp is clear the former president is “fit, ready, and raring to return.”
