FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, ordered demolition of multi-billion Naira Praco Estate in Abuja despite court order

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has claimed an unmatched political achievement.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that he stated that he is the only former governor who did not support the PDP presidential candidate yet delivered full electoral victory.

Wike made this statement during his monthly media briefing in Abuja on Monday.

He said he ensured the PDP won all elections in Rivers State, despite withholding support for the presidential flag bearer.

Wike challenged other governors to show similar success without backing the party’s presidential candidate.

“I’m the only former governor who did not support the presidential candidate but made PDP win 100 percent,” he said.

“Let any sitting governor or former governor say they achieved that in their states,” he added.

Wike’s bold remarks reflect his growing influence within the PDP and his confidence in his leadership record.

He warned the PDP against allowing selfish interests to dominate decision-making processes in the party.

According to him, such tendencies could harm the party’s future unity and electoral performance.

Wike expressed concern about the exclusion of loyal party members who contributed significantly during the 2023 elections.

He warned that sidelining such individuals could lead to resentment and weaken the party’s foundation.

The former Rivers State governor urged the party to avoid repeating the mistakes made during the 2023 general elections.

He emphasized that the political strategies of 2023 may not yield success in future contests.

“We must not repeat the mistakes of 2023,” Wike said during the press briefing.

He added that politics is dynamic, and any party that fails to evolve risks becoming irrelevant.

Wike’s comments appear to be both a critique and a call for reform within the PDP.

He reiterated the importance of internal unity, inclusiveness, and strategic planning for the party’s survival.

The minister also stressed the need for political loyalty to be recognized and rewarded within the party.

Wike has been a vocal and influential figure in the PDP since stepping down as governor of Rivers State.

He declined to support the PDP presidential candidate in 2023 but still delivered sweeping electoral victories in his state.

His words underscore the significance of local influence and grassroots mobilization in determining political outcomes.

Many believe Wike’s remarks are part of a broader push to reposition the PDP ahead of future elections.

Observers say his speech is a reminder that unity and internal democracy are critical to political success.

Wike concluded by urging the PDP to rethink its internal strategies and address lingering internal disputes quickly.

His comments serve as both a warning and guidance for the party’s path forward.
