With the theme “Legacy of Leadership: Powering Africa’s Future”, the 2025 Democracy Heroes Award aims to spotlight leaders who have made a measurable impact in deepening democratic values.
According to FDN Project Director, Olufunsho Ajagbonna, the organisation is committed to promoting excellent leadership by recognising individuals who have stood out in public service, business, and humanitarian efforts.
He noted that the award will continue to serve as a motivation for leaders to prioritize development and good governance.
The Democracy Heroes Award has become one of Africa’s most respected platforms for acknowledging the role of political leaders, entrepreneurs, and entertainers in fostering stability, democracy, and inclusive growth across the continent.
