The governor of Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara, appears to be teaching his predecessor, Barrister Nysom Wike, some political lessons as the Rivers State House of Assembly members loyal to him, have elected Honourable Ehie Edison as the new speaker of the House.
Edison was earlier removed today as the Majority Leader of the House by lawmakers loyal to Wike after he frustrated initial attempt to impeach governor Fubara.
He was elected as the new speaker of the State House of Assembly during a meeting at the Government House.
Meanwhile, the incident came as part of pro-Fubara lawmakers efforts to thwart pending impeachment proceedings against the governor.
