Woman shot dead by gunmen in Benue

A woman identified as Theresa Awuhe, has been killed in Makurdi, Benue State by gunmen.

According to media reports, Theresa was shot dead by hoodlums on her way home from her shop on Saturday night, August 24, 2024.

The unfortunate incident happened around Villa Suite Street.

Friends and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn her.

“May your soul find peace! May your killers never know peace in this world. God will punish them for the sins of their fathers, and punish their generation,” one Unande Adoo wrote.

“Ahhhh Ngohile If only they knew how kind you were. You showed me the rope in Jesus and told me to tough up as I was a cry cry baby, always crying, you showed me love, till your death you will always check on us and encourage us, you were will wiser than your years, you were Soo full of life. You were too kind. Diloga set 2010 mourns, this one is painful. Rest on my classmate”

Police authorities in Benue State are yet to issue a statement in respect to the development.
